Your novel :: Your voice :: Your style :: Polished to perfection

Proofreading and editing your own prose is tricky because you’re likely to repeat your original mistakes and miss the errors you made first time round. My fresh eye catches those mistakes because I’m reading your work objectively and using the skills I’ve acquired under professional tuition.

You’ll get best value by sending me your final draft – the one that’s already been appraised by your beta readers (if you’re using them) and has been through any substantive editing it might have needed. Then, without altering your voice or style, I’ll treat your manuscript/typescript to a thorough eagle-eyed polish prior to its publication. I’ll work directly with your Word.doc or .docx using ‘track changes’ and commenting tools; this allows you to accept or reject each change I make. I’ll be happy to offer detailed guidance if you’re new to Microsoft Word.
